March 21, 2016
Hey now. It's almost 2 years later. I have finished many projects in the meantime. Maybe I will post some pictures later on, but right now it is enough to say, I've made sweaters and hats and socks and blankets.
My husband has stage 4 lung cancer and I seem to have a lot of time on my hands for knitting, crafting.
So much goes on in a person's life in 2 years.
I will try to post pictures in order going backwards.
Number 1:
Frost Hat, by Irina Dmitrieva Designs on Ravelry.com
I have knit 3 of her hat patterns and love everyone of them. The patterns turn out beautiful and are easy enough for me to make them.
I love the designs in them also. This hat is for my son Zach. I show him other patterns next to one of Irina's patterns and he picks Irina's every time. More info. I used Lion Brand Yarns, Heartland in Great Smokey Mountains colorway. I used the needle sizes recommended in pattern. And stopped doing the knit and purl row between the pattern rows for maybe the last 4 rows becsuse it looked like it was already plenty tall enough for his head. I love the way it turned out and so does he.
I finished this hat on Friday and gave it to my son on Saturday(3/18-3/19) A little late for this winter, but in plenty of time for next. The question is: Am I behind or way ahead?
Tomorrow, maybe I will post the picture of whatever, I made before that. I will have to check first to see what it was. I feel bad, though, because I know that I have not taken pictures of everything. So some things, I will just tell you what the pattern is and you can look up pattern on Ravelry or wherever.

Saturday in September Missing All My Babies
It is Saturday the 6th of September. My baby girl was born 24 years ago today. Talk about time goes by so fast!!!. Right now she is due to have my next grand-daughter, Lilianna Moon. Hopefully next week at this time, I will be holding her!!!
As of right now I have retired, but will probably continue to work for a while. Not a whole lot to write about.
Wish I had tons of interesting things on my mind or going on in my life, but no, I do not.
Still wish I could figure a way to make money on line, but it is not happening.
Wish I had time to knit more. Not happening either. Right now my oldest daughter is trying to knit a Baby Surprise Sweater, pattern by the famous Elizabeth Zimmerman. I cannot help her much because I am so far away. More than anything else in my life, I miss my children. How is one ever really happy again, when your children all live somewhere else and that somewhere else is so far away. It is not a control issue, it is just seeing their faces, looking into their eyes and knowing that they are near.
I really should rename this blog. Maybe I Miss My Kids or something. Is there anyone out there who feels this way? Have you learned to let go? Have you learned to miss them and still be happy? I would love to hear from you. Let me know how you cope.
I would also like to share with you some of my favorite blogs, so I will have to figure out how to do that.

Time goes by soooo fast. There is never enough of it. Well, I have a question now. Does anybody know how to get something off of your blog? Like the bellyhood thing I have at the top of mine. I put that on when one of my daughters was carrying a baby and never looked at it. Now I cannot figure out how to get rid of it.
I only have a few minutes today.
Let's talk about what I am working on and then when I come back I can talk about how much I got finished.
I am knitting a sweater for my daughter. I have been working on it since June. I will try, this afternoon, to post a picture of it and also of the page she and I designed it on.
I am also working on a pair of mitts. They have fingers, but not the ends of the fingers. So they are technically not fingerless gloves, nor are they gloves. Is there a word for them?
And on the spinning wheel I am spinning pure alpaca. I have fleeces from three that were all given to me. Right now I am trying to spin enough to make my husband a belaclava for next hunting season.
I will put pictures in for all of these things later this afternoon if he gives me time. lol
Talk at ya later.

Well, I don't even know how long it has been. I have decided to continue blogging and see if I can earn a little money from my blog posts. All of us who need the money need to unite. Let's see how this works. I have heard people say that they have earned enough to pay for their college. Do I believe that? I am really very very skeptical. I am willing to try though.
Here are my goals and let us see how much time I have to invest to reach those goals. I am going to keep track of my time at the end of each blog post.
I need to earn 300 a month. That is $300.00. I work full time and have other things that occupy my time. So let us say that I might be able to devote 1 hour to this blog on a 5 day a week basis. That means I need to earn about $15.00 for each post. I cannot imagine that happening. We will see what happens though. First, I have to decide what to blog about.
I have grown children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. My mother is living and I have 5 sisters and 4 brothers. I knit, I spin, I have animals. My animals include a Chihuahua, Brindi Lou, a cat, Nala Sue and an angora rabbit named Hairy. We have chickens and 3 beagles.
I still don't know, what in my life would be interesting enough to blog about. Can't talk about the job although we have many funny experiences there. I will be posting pictures from time to time.
Things I am interested in.
The Bible
My Family
My Animals
My knitting and spinning
The outdoors
Learning to eat healthy.
People in general.
Okay, This only took about 1/2 hour. Tomorrow I will try to make up for it. LOL

Where I am now on my crafts.
Well, it sure has been a while, but here I am back again. I am only working on one thing right now, no, I lied. I am working on two things, but it has been so long since I worked on the one that I forgot about it.
I am making a sweater in the round. I just have about 60 rows plusribbing on one sleeve and then it will be done. I love it and can't wait til fall so I can wear it. One of the few things I have ever made for me with me in mind. lol.
Then there is the sweater I forgot. It is knit sideways. In other words from the end of one sleeve to the end of the other sleeve. I loved the pattern when I found it but then I started on the round one and I just totally forgot that poor sweater. Now that I think about it, I will have to finish that one too and then I will have two new sweaters for this fall.
I was getting ready to take a picture of the one in the round and duh, my camera battery was dead. Me thinks one of the kids used it and forgot to shut it off.
Oh well maybe it will be charged up enough before I get finished to take one picture and put it up to show.

So Much for Goals
So it is Sunday, and I didn't get even one of the kitchen towels done. I do not know why, I am having such a hard time feeling crafty. Maybe if I could get into being crafty again, I would not feel soooo depressed. I am trying not to feel that way, but it isn't working.
Yesterday, I did, however, sew the tops of the towel halves, so that now I can start to crochet on them, the next time Dennis and I ride to work together.
It is 1:10 in the morning. I don't have to get up until 2:30 in the morning to get ready for work, but I cannot sleep. I just lay there and worry about the kids. I think I am in the wrong blog for all of this. So I will go for now. Somebody stop in and give me some encouragement. Or sharp words of criticism. Or something to get me off my duff.

Goal for today.
Today, I want to finish one more kitchen towel. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to say it is done.
